Elections

As most of you know, Kappa Beta has elections for the Board of Directors in August. In order to have candidates, nominations must be made in July. All nominations must be seconded. Then the prospective candidate must accept the nomination.

It’s very simple to nominate someone: just post a message on the Member’s Yahoo group. If someone has already been nominated, you may second her.

Coping With Marriage To a CD

After 19 years of marriage, I found out my husband was a crossdresser. "Shocked" didn't even begin to cover it. Shocked, horrified, angry (heck yeah), betrayed, inadequate and deeply, DEEPLY depressed. My husband said I was "broken", and I was. To say the rug had been pulled out from under me was a colossal understatement--there wasn't even a floor at all. How stupid was I? How could I live with someone that long and not know something that big? This was someone that I trusted and he had kept something so critical and important from me. Oh, I knew that things weren't exactly as they should be, but CDing had never crossed my mind.

Fathers’ Day Reflections

In the hindsight of Fathers’ Day last month, I was reflecting on how much the phone call from my son meant to me that evening. I thought of how cute my children were growing up, and of my perceived successes and failures as a parent. As with any father, there is a mix of both.

Occasionally, those of us who are on this gender journey attempt to leave our past behind in effort to forge our future. It seems to me an impossibility to leave the past behind, no matter how painful it may have been.

More From Diana

This is a follow up to last month’s article; I hope that everyone reads it. What I'm trying to get across to everyone is that we are all human beings and, like it or not, we all have a sense of belonging to something. Be it this group or something else. But for now let's talk about this group! Kappa Beta... Does anyone know why this group is named Kappa Beta? Do you know why we need this group?

Well, your guess is probably as good as mine or anyone else's! My thoughts or reasons are that we all need support; we all need friendship; we all need each other help to cope with society. So I guess that it all comes down to socializing with other people who do what we do and feel basically the same way we do!
