Hello to all! Another month gone, another meeting over but, What a meeting! WOW!

We had one the best turnouts in a long time. We actually had sixteen members, three s/o's, and five guests in attendance! Now, this is the way a meeting should be attended!

Two of the guests were Angela and Monica who asked to speak to the group about attending a reception to help them hand out fliers that ask that people include transgender in the GLBT. I would like to thank them for coming and talking with everyone about transgender issues.

Two other guests include Jasmine and Sarah who found us through the KB website. The other guest who attended was Kimberly, who, by the way, was voted in as a member because this was her third meeting. Everyone should welcome her to the KB family.

Now to talk about another big item of importance... Our annual dues! Yes, I sound like a broken record. We need all of the members to pay your annual dues or you will risk being removed from the rolls and lose access to the Yahoo members group and KB's website. The board does not want to remove anyone, nor do we want to continue to have to say this to all of you. Please make your payment!

Hello once again. Well another month has gone and we look forward to February's meeting on the 16th.

January's meeting was attended by only eight members, all but one was from out of town. Blame it on the weather! Hartigan's was closed because of the weather so the group decided to go to 300East. The place was very nice, but I thought it was a bit over priced. It was a good change of pace for the group.

The time is now for us to pay those annual dues. Annual dues will remain the same as last year, $30.00. All members have until the close of February's meeting to pay your annual dues or risk being removed from the role. If you have any questions, just ask!

The board hopes that all of our members can and will attend this month's meeting as well as all the other meetings this year.

The State of the Group Address - 2008

This is "The State of the Group Address." Hello once again.

First of all, our group survived another year together. I want to say, "Welcome" to the new members. I'm glad that they decided to joined us here at KB this year. We look forward to having them around for years to come. The new members are our future leadership in the making. I just hope that some of them step up to the task and continue to make our group grow.

As I have said before, "I will be stepping down from the board after this year." It's time to think about who will lead our group next.

I have seen a lot of progress in the group this past year.

Hello to all. Another month here, another year here - and gone as well.

Last month's meeting was very exciting and successful as we had around twenty in attendance. Some familiar faces, some who haven't been in a while, as well as some new applicants were in attendance.

As your Chairperson, I would like to say that we as a group have grown for the better this past year. I hope that KB continues to grow this new year as well as each and every year after. KB board members have been busy strengthening our beloved group, however we need and count on KB's member support. This group can not continue to grow without our members' help and support.

Attendance has been up this year and it shows in our bank account. This is a support group as well as it is a social one. At times I think we all lose sight of that fact.

Hello to all. It's already November... my, how time flies! Anyway, I thought I'd say that if you missed the October meeting... you missed a good one! We all missed Dana and Kathy last month.

We had the pleasure of having a presentation on make-up from our honored guest... "Swooz!" So, I'd like to say from all of us at KB, "thank you, Swooz!"

We're now gearing up for the November meeting and you should be thinking about attending. You should also start thinking about the annual KB Christmas party in December. Time to get out and be glamorous, dig out those formals along with the diamonds, girls.

The past few months we've had quite a few applicants - and we'd like to have more members come out of them. So, please take the time and introduce yourselves to all the guests that attend the meetings.

We're still taking suggestions on what the members would like to do at our meeting in the future. Contact any board member with your suggestions. I hope to see everyone at the meeting next week!
