2006 has been an eventful year and one that will live in my memory for life. Due to diabetes I lost my leg. I accepted this without reservation and I am thankful for the blessings I received.
I married Kari. Kari has been so understanding and helpful in bearing with me under the circumstances.
I have also been blessed by joining Kappa Beta and meeting some of the nicest people that is my privilege to have as friends. Kappa Beta has been a delightful experience with the meetings and socials but it also has been an elixir of healing.
Due to my illness Kari and I missed several meetings last year but that, in itself, has not limited my support for the group. We had some turmoil in the group but in spite of that we have continued to survive.
However I pray that all our members will support our group more in 2007. It is not enough to pay dues for the year, we need everyone to come to the monthly meetings and participate in activities. Do you have an idea for enhancing the meetings or socials, then let the members or the board know of any suggestion.
Our group can grow and persevere but only with the participation of the membership. Please make 2007 a wonderful year for Kappa Beta and its membership. May God bless you.
