More On Labels

This article is a follow up to one I wrote a few months ago. I wrote about, "What’s in a label?" Well this article adds on to the last one.

When I was at Kari and Marilyn's wedding last month I was asked the question again, "What are you? A TS, TG, TV, or CD?" Well, I didn’t respond to the question as I felt that the individual who asked me came across as being arrogant!

The individual then asked others the same question and when they said they were TS, the individual said, "Oh, you’re in my group!" Like they were better than the others! I left the area as I was trying to keep my cool at the wedding.

While I was at the house before the wedding, someone else made the comment that, "You’re just a CD!" I didn't want to cause a scene on the wedding day so I just walked away. The individual that said that was being arrogant and looking down her nose at me because she had SRS surgery already and she wants only to associate with other TSs. I was furious!

We have enough problems with the gay, lesbian, and normal society members not liking transgender (TS, TG, TV, CD) people or treating us fair or giving us respect. I, for one, don't take too kindly to being looked down at.

Do these people forget that they once were where we are? Labels are for people who are not sure of themselves and need to belong only to a certain group. They are something I can live without. I wish the rest of the world could live without them as well!
