Kappa Beta Serving the transgendered community since 1988

This is a follow up to last month’s article; I hope that everyone reads it. What I'm trying to get across to everyone is that we are all human beings and, like it or not, we all have a sense of belonging to something. Be it this group or something else. But for now let's talk about this group! Kappa Beta... Does anyone know why this group is named Kappa Beta? Do you know why we need this group?

Well, your guess is probably as good as mine or anyone else's! My thoughts or reasons are that we all need support; we all need friendship; we all need each other help to cope with society. So I guess that it all comes down to socializing with other people who do what we do and feel basically the same way we do!

So now I pose a question to all the members: Why is it that our attendance at the meetings is down? Is it because we don't need each other as much as we thought? Could it be that many of us are tired of the same old thing, month after month? When we get together each month, why is it that after dinner we split up and go to our little groups in motel rooms and not continue as the KB group? I personally don't care what some of you want to do after dinner. However, I (and some others) would like to see some interest shown to KB as a group. I'm afraid that interest is declining and sooner or later the group might disband (cease to exist) if we continue as we have been.

This group needs your support (mine also), your ideas and your attendance if it is to survive. If the group disbands, where would you go? What would you do? Would you go back in the closet or in hiding! Let's not allow this to happen to our group!

I think that this group has a good bunch of people and that we can do better than we've been doing lately. These are my opinions and feelings... Let's hear from you! I hope that attendance is up this month!
