Have You Lost?

Who are we? Whether Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, or Transgender, we are all God’s children and loved by the Master. However on this mortal Earth how many of us have been abandoned or condemned by our relations and friends?

What have we done to be ostracized by our loved ones or friends? Every one of us had people that professed to love or care for us when they knew us simply by our given name. Then, in whatever way our innermost desires were exposed to those we know, they learned that we had feelings and desires that did not meet society’s standards.

What change came over us to be shunned by others? Are we not the same people as we were before our secret was exposed? I am sure that all who shun us for being what we are have secrets of their own that they hide because of the fear that if they were exposed they would suffer the same fate as we.

Do we really stop loving or caring for another person because suddenly we find out something about their private lives? We loved or cared for a person before we learned of a fetish or other deviation from the norm of society. What has changed this person? Is he or she still the same person we knew before learning they had a lifestyle that does not conform to today’s standards?

I think that as long as we live our lives that we have chosen, obey the laws, and treat others with respect that we deserve to be accepted for what we are, not for who we are expected to be.

I recently did an overhaul on my house, did that fact change it from being a house to something else? Of course not! It is still a house.

We all have our own desires on how we wish to live but that in itself does not change us one bit in God’s eyes, so why should it with those who defame, judge and condemn us? The point I wish to get across is that we should take pride in what we are, and pray that the day will come when all people are accepted for who they are instead of what station in life they choose to occupy.
